Kepler-17b

Kepler-17b is an exoplanet orbiting the star Kepler-17 in the constellation Cygnus (from the swan). It is a gas giant of the type called hot Jupiter. It has an orbital period of just under a day and a half, which is equivalent to one year on Kepler-17b equals 1,485 Earth days.

It was discovered in 2011 by the Kepler satellite using the transit method.
